Jazz is amazing for one thing. Jazz music has been very important to the African Americans because it has been a way to express them selves. Thru music the slaves were able to communicate and that was very important. Music was so important to them and I hope people appreciate the same way that the slaves did.

Jazz culture means many things to me, it reminds me of how all types of music started. If it wasn't for Jazz we might not have had all the types of music we have now. Such as Rock and Roll,Funk,Blues, Etc. It seems that we all mostly think about Jazz and its history during Black History month, but in reality it is what started everything. Jazz was invented in the 20th century by Jelly Roll Morton in 1918.Some of the common instruments used in Jazz are drums, guitars, piano, trumpets, and clarinets. The culture is very diverse and different. Many can interpret it differently. And when you listen to Jazz music you can maybe stop and take a moment to thank Jelly Roll Morton for how he help change the path of music.

It means a lot! I always listen 70's or 80's rock and roll, but it is one of those styles of music that wouldn't exist without Jazz. Not only rock n' roll, but other styles of music such as the Blues. Without the jazz ever existing, we would probably have only classical music.

The diversity of the jazz culture is what influenced all the other types of music. The jazz music has been around for the longest time and it is written/listened to by most people. As a result, the music of jazz shapes people's culture and how they they live their lives into jazz. Most people enjoy music, wether it is Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop, Rap, or Country music. The main idea is that all of these types of music had to originate somewhere, and the awnser was from jazz.

Without Jazz we wouldn't have all the different genres we have today. I think Jazz is very remarkable because of how diverse it is, and how a lot of improv is made from it. Live Jazz bands in New Orleans that I saw last year were some of the coolest bands I've ever seen.

Well the history of jazz, and (well basically) all the types of music came from the African American slaves. Jazz was made by the African Americans. Well, because if all music came from jazz that means black people are the main reason we have our music we listen to today.

I think this is important because jazz helped a lot of people be happy. They can express themselves. Especially slaves, jazz was only thing that they could enjoy and do, it was their own way of speaking about what they were going through. Its their culture.

The diversity of the jazz culture means a lot to ANYONE who enjoys music. Whether you enjoy listening to country, rap, hip-hop, or rock and roll, jazz music has influenced almost every genre in one way or another. If it wasn't for jazz, we might not have all the genres of music that we have to this day.

Jazz is America's music. It originated here and resembles America's "melting pot" because it combines all sorts of music styles including the blues, classical, spiritual, slave songs, and dancing music. In addition, jazz has inspired most of the music we hear today from rock and roll, to rap and country. Jazz is a music genre that never gets old as it is always fresh with unlimited possibilities; it is an expression of someone's feeling and emotion. Overall, jazz is America's music, and it will always inspire music that comes after it. I personally love listening to jazz, especially when I have a long tiring day. It helps me to relax and cool off because it is smooth and always in style. One jazz song I really enjoy listening to is Billy Joel's New York State of Mind.

It means a lot to me because it reminds me of how hard it was for the African American slaves. The only way for them to communicate was through a type of music they called field hollering; they would tell each other what was happening in their life and how bad it was. Soon this music developed into the blues, then jazz, and now all the music we see today. Jazz was a way that people expressed how they felt. It was a way to get out of the troubles of life. That is how I think jazz is helping us today.

All of the diversity of jazz means a few things to me. First of all, it was a form for of African-American slaves and people to express their feelings. It also allowed Americans be a little " out of order" with their music and be as creative as they want to be with their music. Everyone playing jazz could play or dance anyway they wanted, but still did in an awkward sort of rhythym. Jazz is a style of music of that came straight from America and shows how diverse our country really is.
